With a passion for gardening and an overhaul of our grassy front yard in Astoria, friends and neighbors noticed. I now renovate, innovate, and create gardens throughout the 97103 zip code and nearby.
At Hat Over Wall I do a lot of hard work, because that is often what it takes to bring gardens back to life and to keep them looking as lovely as possible. Services include: weeding, pruning, planting, transplanting, design, re-configuring, maintenance and lawn-to-garden makeover.
I rely on hand tools--a good pair of secateurs, a vintage garden fork, and a dandelion digger are my main bits of equipment. At-the-ready: a handsaw, shovel, and large loppers. The ONLY electric equipment I will occasionally use is a small hedger for shrubs and hedges.
This is all to say that I do not mow lawns, use electric blowers, or make a racket. You will likely
not even know I'm there.
My goal is to give your garden and you
the attention that is needed. Ultimately, a maintenance routine is ideal, with minimal work from me
and maximum pleasure for you.
